Rumney Rocks
Rumney is one of the most well known sport climbing destinations in the country. The steep schist cliffs here have become a hub for hard sport climbing. This crag offers high quality climbing at every level of the sport from 5.3 multipitch slab routes with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape to steep 5.14 / 5.15 routes that draw in incredibly strong climbers to test their grit.
An incredible amount of work has been done to the hillside of Rattlesnake Mountain to make crags more accessible to climbers. There are over 25 individuals crags that each have their own character. The number of sport routes at all of these crags exceeds 500 offering something for everyone.

While not necessarily close to Philadelphia, Rumney is one of the most well known crags in the eastern United States. We at Dream Peak Guides feel as though this crag offers something for everyone and the rock is incredibly unique when compared to the crags local to Philadelphia and the sandstone climbing of the south.
